When it comes to Furniture, fabric is probably the most important element of design. No matter how good the framework is, if the fabric is not excellent the whole furniture items goes in ruins.
It is for this reason that we invest ample time looking and sourcing high quality fabric to perfect our work and deliver the best furniture item to all our clients.

What type of fabric do you usually use?

  • The answer to this varies – it all depends on what the customer prefers and what the budget it. However, our collection includes velvet, tweet, canvass, polyester, and print.

How do you describe the quality of your fabrics?

  • Our fabrics are sourced from the most reputable suppliers all over South Africa.
  • We guarantee the quality of our fabrics using what is called Abrasion/Rub count test. The high the rubs the better the quality of the fabric from a durability perspective. We use fabrics ranging from 25 000 rubs to 45 000 rubs.

Where do you source the fabrics?

  • We have a solid network of suppliers – some commercial and some private. It really all depends on the client budget. The basic prices quoted are on the basic fabric types we have available

What about maintaining the fabrics?

  • Through experience, we have discovered that some fabrics are difficult to maintain while others are relatively easier. Velvet is one of those which proves difficult to maintain, polyester is relatively easier.
  • We always advise clients to consider the details of their lifestyles before picking which fabric to go for. If you have kids, you have a high propensity to get your couch dirty. In this case we advise clients to avoid velvet and opt for other options (example)
